Each piece is made with a hands-on approach from my studio in Louisville, Kentucky. I work primarily with natural and reclaimed materials, including wood, metal, glass, stone, and natural textiles, using a combination of traditional techniques and contemporary processes.
Whenever possible, I remain involved throughout the entire process—from selecting materials and shaping individual components to assembly, finishing, and final inspection. This approach allows each piece to retain the character and subtle variation that comes from being made by hand.
-
Yes. Most furniture and objects from Rexach Studios are made to order rather than kept as inventory. This allows me to produce work intentionally, in small quantities, while giving each piece the attention it requires.
Occasionally, one-of-one works, limited editions, prototypes, and ready-to-ship pieces may also become available.
-
Lead times vary depending on the piece, material availability, and the current studio schedule. Estimated lead times are provided on individual product pages and will be confirmed when your order is placed.
Because each piece is made individually, these timelines are estimates rather than guaranteed completion dates. If circumstances arise that significantly affect the expected timeline, I will communicate those changes with you directly.
-
Select designs can be customized in material, finish, upholstery, dimensions, or other details depending on the piece.
The intention is always to preserve the character and proportions of the original design, so not every modification will be appropriate. If you have something specific in mind, please reach out and I’ll be happy to discuss what may be possible.
-
Yes. I accept a limited number of private commissions for clients looking for something outside of the studio's existing collection.
Commissions are considered individually based on the scope of the project, timeline, materials, and how naturally the idea aligns with the studio's work. These projects may range from variations of an existing piece to entirely original furniture, objects, or artwork.
-
Yes. I welcome opportunities to work with interior designers, architects, hospitality projects, galleries, and other creative or commercial partners.
Whether sourcing an existing design, developing a custom piece, or discussing a larger project, inquiries are welcome through the studio's contact page.
-
Yes. Customer's Own Material (COM) and Customer's Own Leather (COL) may be accommodated for select upholstered pieces.
Material suitability and required yardage will need to be reviewed before production begins. Because performance can vary considerably between textiles and leathers, materials supplied by the client must be approved for the intended application.
-
Natural variation is an intentional part of the work. Wood grain, stone, leather, natural textiles, hand-applied finishes, reclaimed materials, and other organic surfaces will vary from piece to piece.
These differences are not considered defects, but rather part of the individual character of each work. Certain materials and finishes may also develop a patina with exposure, handling, and use over time.
-
I work primarily with natural and reclaimed materials chosen for their character, durability, and ability to age gracefully. Depending on the piece, this may include solid wood, metal, glass, stone, leather, and natural or synthetic textiles.
Certain works may also incorporate hand-dyed fabrics, specialty finishes, or other materials selected specifically for that edition or commission.
-
Care will vary depending on the materials and finish of your particular piece. General care information is provided where appropriate, and additional instructions can be provided for works requiring more specific maintenance.
As a general rule, I encourage allowing natural materials to age rather than trying to preserve them in an untouched state. Subtle changes in tone, texture, and surface are part of how these objects develop character over time.
-
Yes. Smaller works may be shipped through standard parcel carriers, while furniture and larger pieces are typically delivered using a private or white-glove delivery service.
Shipping or delivery costs will depend on the size of the piece and its destination. Additional information and any applicable costs will be provided during checkout or prior to finalizing your order.
-
International inquiries are welcome. Because shipping requirements, duties, taxes, and import regulations vary considerably by destination, international orders are handled individually.
Please contact the studio with your location and the piece you are interested in so that available options can be discussed.
-
Yes. Local pickup can be arranged for clients in or traveling to the Louisville, Kentucky area. Details will be coordinated once your piece is ready.
-
For pieces delivered through a white-glove service, delivery arrangements will typically be coordinated with you in advance.
Depending on the service and destination, this may include bringing the piece into your home and placing it in the desired room. Access requirements such as stairs, elevators, narrow doorways, or other conditions that could affect delivery should be communicated before shipment.
-
Because most pieces are made specifically for each client, made-to-order and customized works are generally considered final sale.
If your piece arrives damaged or there is an issue with your order, please contact the studio as soon as possible so the situation can be reviewed and appropriately resolved.
Any return eligibility for ready-to-ship works will be outlined within the studio's current Terms & Conditions.
-
Please inspect your piece upon arrival whenever possible. If you notice damage that appears to have occurred during transit, photograph the piece, packaging, and affected area and contact the studio promptly.
I will work with you and the delivery provider to determine the appropriate next steps.
-
Some designs form part of the studio's ongoing collection and may remain available over time, while others are produced only in limited quantities or as individual works.
Materials, finishes, and configurations may also evolve as the practice develops. Once a limited edition or particular material combination has concluded, it may not be reproduced in the same form.
-
Select furniture, artwork, limited editions, and one-of-one works may be signed, numbered, dated, or otherwise documented depending on the nature of the piece.
When applicable, those details will be included with the work or noted on its product page.
